With its royal ambiance, Binningen Castle stands for history and hospitality. Already very popular as a hotel and restaurant, it continues to gain importance as a beautiful day trip destination as well.

Two years ago, the experienced restaurateur, Brigitte Buser, took the helm at Binningen Castle. It was her goal to bring the estate closer to the people and to put not only the hotel but also the restaurant and the castle on the map. Today, she is proud of the condition of the castle and envisions an even brighter future.

Buser describes Binningen Castle in three words: “At the gateway to Basel, beautiful and full of history.” Thanks to its excellent location, good public transport connections and ample parking, Binningen Castle is an attractive location for both locals and visitors.

Opened in 2008, the hotel is housed in Binningen’s oldest building. Its rooms have been consciously designed in a traditional style. The restaurant impresses with its wonderful terrace and a diverse menu with upscale traditional dishes, as well as an award-winning wine list. The decor remains as it was 100 years ago.

“The castle was built in 1293, and this should be visible. I think, it would be inappropriate if everything were super modern. The interior of the castle should also tell its history. It has a royal ambiance, although no king ever lived here,” says Buser. Guests can look forward to the hotel with 23 rooms, the bistro for aperitifs, the restaurant in the castle, royal seminar rooms and the castle cellar, all located in a magnificent castle park.

She warmly invites visitors to explore the entire Binningen Castle. With a public park, which is lovingly maintained by the municipality, and recently offered scenic tours, the history of the castle comes alive.

Binningen Castle is much more than a hotel or restaurant, it is a destination, a piece of history and a meeting place – it is certainly well worth a visit.

Willkommen im Schloss Binningen

Mit seinem royalen Ambiente steht das Schloss Binningen für Geschichte und Gastlichkeit. Als Hotel und Restaurant bereits sehr beliebt, gewinnt es dennoch immer mehr an Bedeutung als wunderschönes Ausflugsziel.

Es war vor zwei Jahren, als die erfahrene Gastronomin Brigitte Buser das Zepter im Schloss Binningen übernahm. Ihr Ziel war es, das Anwesen wieder näher zu den Menschen zu bringen und neben dem Hotel auch das Restaurant und das Schloss selbst in den Mittelpunkt zu rücken. Heute ist sie stolz auf den Zustand des Schlosses und hat Visionen für seine Zukunft.

Buser beschreibt das Schloss Binningen mit drei Worten: „Am Tor zu Basel, wunderschön und mit großer Geschichte.“ Dank der hervorragenden Lage, guter Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel und einem großzügigen Parkplatzangebot, ist Schloss Binningen ein attraktiver Standort für Einheimische und Besucher.

Das Hotel eröffnet 2008, eingebaut ins älteste Haus von Binningen. Die Hotelzimmer sind ganz bewusst im traditionellen Stil gehalten. Das Restaurant überzeugt mit seiner wunderbaren Terrasse und einem vielseitigen Speiseangebot auf bürgerlich gehobenem Niveau, sowie einer prämierten Weinkarte. Die Einrichtung ist dabei noch wie vor 100 Jahren.

„Das Schloss wurde 1293 erstellt und das darf man auch sehen. Es wäre für mich unpassend, wenn alles topmodern wäre. Das Innere des Schlosses soll ja auch dessen Geschichte erzählen. Es hat ein royales Ambiente, auch wenn hier nie ein König gelebt hat“, so Buser. Man darf sich also auf das Hotel mit 23 Zimmern, das Bistro für Apéros, das Restaurant im Schloss, royale Seminarräume und den Schlosskeller mitten in einem herrlichen Schlosspark freuen.

Buser lädt die Besucher herzlich ein, das gesamte Schloss Binningen zu erkunden. Mit einem öffentlichen Park, der liebevoll von der Gemeinde gepflegt wird, und seit kurzem angebotenen szenischen Führungen, wird die Geschichte des Schlosses lebendig.

Das Schloss Binningen ist viel mehr als ein Hotel oder Restaurant, es ist ein Ausflugsziel, ein Stück Geschichte und ein Ort der Begegnung – es lohnt sich also vorbeizuschauen.
