The Biel-based watch brand Votum stands for exceptional inner beauty, elegant, timeless design and top Swiss watchmaking tradition. François Zahnd, owner of the watch company fashiontime ag, wants to express his passion for mechanical men’s watches with the revival of the Votum brand. Alongside Zurich’s designer and graphic designer Rolf Bodmer, a stunning collection has been developed. Votum has specialised in manufacturing exceptional mechanical men’s watches. François Zahnd explains why: “Mr Bodmer and I, as 60- and 56-year-old men, want and can only design men’s watches if we want to stay authentic. Not to exclude women; we rather don’t think that every woman wants to be associated with the stereotype of diamonds, pearls or pastels. In addition, it’s chic and feminine today when a woman wears a larger men’s watch.”
