Theatre Fauteuil

Now in its sixth decade, the Theatre Fauteuil in Basel invites both renowned and as-yet-undiscovered cabaret artists of the highest calibre to stun its audiences. Originally set up by passionate cabaret artist Ronald Rasser, it is now in the capable hands of his children. The theatre is naturally very busy in the run-up to Christmas with its astoundingly popular annual comedy performed in Swiss dialect. The theatre’s three stages is famously offering cabaret for both young and old, as well as musicals and dialect comedies. Additionally, they annually stage two in-house productions, often playing for months and drawing large crowds.
