A top-class nightclub can be found in Zurich’s Badenerstrasse: On two floors, the Plaza Klub offers parties with selected DJs, as well as various concerts and cultural events in the special ambiance of the city’s oldest cinema building from 1924.

Since Zurich’s oldest cinema building was transformed into the Plaza Klub in 2010, great beats and top-class events have been omnipresent here. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, visitors can get pampered by the best DJs and visit various concerts and cultural events on two floors.

The culture club’s paradisiac heart is its Plaza hall on the ground floor, which poses as event venue and dance area with three bars and four lounges. The stage is inspired by the original cinema from 1924 and the walls were transformed into an urban jungle with birds of paradise by a famous artist. On the upper floor, visitors can look forward to the Kosmos – Zurich’s probably most spacious fumoir. “Divided into a bar and a second dance floor, the Kosmos Klub, whose name pays homage to the cinema of the same name, brings back comfort, quality and pleasure into Zurich’s desolate smoking landscape,” emphasises Tony Bolli, who is responsible for Plaza Klub’s programme management.

Event highlights are the monthly burlesque show Ohh! La La! Chérie! A burlesque striptease show (every first Saturday of the month, from 6 October) and the monthly Open Mic Show (every last Wednesday of the month, from 31 October).

Den Alltag vergessen im Plaza Klub

Ein Nightclub der Extraklasse befindet sich in Zürichs Badenerstrasse: im ältestesten Kinogebäude der Stadt aus dem Jahre 1924 bietet der Plaza Klub nämlich Partys mit ausgewählten DJs und diverse Konzerte und Kulturevents im außergewöhnlichen Ambiente auf zwei Stockwerken an.

Seit Zürichs ältestes Kinogebäude 2010 zum Plaza Klub umgebaut wurde, regieren hier tolle Beats und Events der Extraklasse. Seitdem können sich Besucher jeden Donnerstag, Freitag und Samstag auf zwei Dancefloors von den besten DJs verwöhnen lassen und bei diversen Konzerten und Kulturevents vorbeischauen.

Das paradiesische Herzstück des Kulturklubs ist der im Untergeschoss gelegene Plaza Saal, der mit drei Bars und vier Lounges Veranstaltungsort und Tanzfläche zugleich ist. Die Bühne ist dem Lichtspieltheater von 1924 nachempfunden und die Wände des Saals wurden von einem bekannten Künstler in einen mit Paradiesvögeln bevölkerten Großstadtdschungel verwandelt. Im Obergeschoss freuen sich Besucher dann auf den Kosmos – Zürichs wahrscheinlich geräumigstes Fumoir. „Aufgeteilt in eine Bar und einem zweiten Dancefloor, bringt der als Hommage an das gleichnamige Lichtspieltheater benannte Kosmos Klub, wieder Komfort, Qualität und Vergnügen in die öde Zürcher Raucherlandschaft“, betont Tony Bolli, der für die Programmleitung im Plaza Klub zuständig ist.

Event-Highlights sind die monatliche Burlesque Show Ohh! La La! Chérie! A burlesque striptease show (jeden ersten Samstag im Monat, ab 6 Oktober) und die monatliche Open Mic Show (jeden letzten Mittwoch im Monat, ab 31 Oktober).
