Administrative tasks in the world of HR and recruitment are often tedious and time-consuming. The founders of Munich-based start-up Personio recognised this and developed a holistic HR Management software that digitises and hence speeds up these complex processes.
Founded in 2015 by Hanno Renner, Ignaz Forstmeier, Roman Schumacher, Arseniy Vershinin and later on Jonas Rieke, Personio is a dream come true for staff working in Human Resources and recruitment. The young start-up has quickly turned from an idea amongst a group of students to a company employing a team of over 130 people.
Two investment rounds, the second earning 12 million US-dollars, ensured that Personio can keep developing and refining its product in alignment with market requirements. Over 900 customers are already using the innovative software and enjoy a simplified and more efficient digitised personnel management work-flow.
Especially small and medium-sized companies with 10 to 1,000 employees benefit from the incredibly adaptable software. Several aspects such as access rights, approval procedures or sections of the digital personnel file can be customised individually through the user interface. Recurring processes such as holiday confirmations can be automated, which saves time.
“With our software, we help companies to digitise and simplify their HR processes and cover processes around the employee life cycle,” says co-founder and CEO, Hanno Renner. “This includes creating job listings and managing applicants as well as employee management and employee development.”
The digital nature also allows the option to easily post an individualised job listing on over 350 job portals or efficiently manage holiday time – to name but a few of the incorporated features, which ease the HR management workload with the click of a button.
The software creates more transparency for employees as digital files can be easily accessed and edited by themselves – which saves a lot of time for employees and HR. As Personio brings all personnel processes into one place, there is no more switching back and forth between email accounts, Excel and other applications.
“Many companies appreciate that we unite various HR processes, relevant to smaller and medium-sized businesses, in one software,” Renner adds. “We also maintain high data protection standards. All data is saved on ISO-certified servers in Germany, with back-ups in different locations.”
