Located north-east from the famous Zurich, the charming Swiss town of Winterthur is an insider’s tip for those who like culture just as much as relaxing in nature. Gabriel Stucki, head of marketing and business development at Park Hotel Winterthur, gives a few tips on how best to combine culture and nature here.

“I recommend a visit to the Theater Winterthur, the biggest performance stage in Switzerland, or the Musikkollegium Winterthur, which was founded in 1629 and is one of the most traditional musical institutions in Europe,” recommends Stucki.

In the evenings, Park Hotel Winterthur, which is located right next to the old town, but also in the middle of a park, is perfect for relaxing. “The mix of green vegetation and medieval alleyways creates a very special atmosphere,” says Stucki. “The natural surroundings, with castles, golf courses and wine routes, can be reached quickly, too, as guests can make use of the hotel’s electric bicycles for cycling in the Zurich wine country.”

Art and culture can also be experienced inside the four-star hotel. “In 2019 and onwards, our focus will be on art & design,” says Stucki. “Thus, we regularly host art exhibitions and offer our guests an exciting wine selection with some very rare items from our wine cellar.”

„In unserem Hotel finden regelmäßig Kunstausstellungen statt.
