From breathtaking, industrial relics of the 1950s to a beautiful Art Nouveau ambiance: DIE HALLE Tor 2 and the legendary WARTESAAL AM DOM are two very special event venues that perfectly combine tradition with modern Zeitgeist.

There is an impressive testament to times past amongst Cologne’s event venues. DIE HALLE Tor 2, a former industrial hall from the 1950s, presents itself in a gloriously new light. It was first transformed into a party location in the 90s, however, it’s the current managing director, Andreas Feldgen, who has further developed it into a modern, sophisticated communication and event centre including a 10,000 square meter outdoor area.

At DIE HALLE Tor 2 rough industrial charm meets upscale events – from large galas and parties for 5,000 people to intimate birthday celebrations. “The five different event spaces can be booked individually or combined and allow all kinds of events on 4,000 square meters of interior space,” says Paul Buchholz from the event team. “The right lighting concept – whether grand or poetic, powerfully contrasting or subtly supportive – completes the special event experience for our guests.”

Thanks to the in-house catering, guests can also look forward to a culinary journey. Buchholz adds: “Whether an elegant dinner, live cooking, buffets, or flying food – we cater for each and every wish.”

The WARTESAAL AM DOM in the vibrant heart of Cologne is also under the leadership of Andreas Feldgen. With a direct view of the majestic Cologne Cathedral, just a minute’s walk away, and an atmosphere that brings the aesthetics of Art Nouveau back to life, this urban hall is a highlight of Cologne. Almost 100 years after the opening of the ‘new waiting room’ in 1915, the ‘old waiting room’ experienced a renaissance, as Feldgen has created both a restaurant and an event location with a terrace, where companies and individuals feel equally at home.

Knapp 100 Jahre nach der Eröffnung des „neuen Wartesaals“ im Jahr 1915 erlebte der „Alte Wartesaal“ eine Renaissance, denn Feldgen hat hier sowohl ein Restaurant als auch eine Event-Location mit Außenterrasse geschaffen, wo sich Unternehmen und Privatpersonen gleichermaßen wohl fühlen.
