Start 2025 with an exciting range of fun events! From Vienna’s New Year’s Concert to Berlin’s Tanztage and the Four Hills Tournament in Bischofshofen, January certainly offers something for everyone and sets the perfect tone for the year ahead.
NEW YEAR’S CONCERT, VIENNA (1 JANUARY)
The New Year’s Concert, a cherished Austrian tradition, is once again brought to life by the world-renowned Wiener Philharmoniker. Broadcast in over 90 countries, its global allure continues to captivate audiences. This year, Maestro Riccardo Muti takes up the baton in the magnificent Golden Hall of Vienna’s Musikverein, the perfect setting for this spectacular musical celebration.
52ND NEW YEAR’S MARATHON, BERLIN (1 JANUARY)
The New Year’s Run at the Brandenburg Gate is a beloved tradition, attracting around 3,500 participants each year. This non-competitive, four-kilometre event emphasises community and fun over competition, with a scenic route that takes runners from the Brandenburg Gate along Unter den Linden, around the Berlin Cathedral, and back. No registration is required, and the run is free.
