CHRISTMAS MARKET, MUNICH
(25 NOVEMBER – 24 DECEMBER)
The ‘Christkindl Markt’ is a cherished tradition dating back to the 14th century and has been held on Marienplatz since 1972. This year, it will feature over 130 stalls selling goods and food, along with Advent music from the town hall balcony, the lively Krampus run, and the ‘Himmelswerkstatt’ workshop for children. Attracting visitors from around the globe, highlights include the unique nativity displays at the ‘Kripperlmarkt’, making it the quintessential December hotspot.
WINTER FESTIVAL, SALZBURG
(27 NOVEMBER – 6 JANUARY)
Salzburg’s Winterfest will once again captivate audiences as the largest festival for contemporary circus artistry in the DACH region. Held in the Volksgarten, the event attracts around 30,000 visitors who are enthralled by compelling acrobatics, gentle poetry, and bizarre tales performed by the finest circus groups. Beyond the main performances, attendees can enjoy an exciting fringe program and a wide selection of mouthwatering culinary offerings.
