The aqua terra zoo Haus des Meeres makes exactly that possible. Right in Vienna, you can not only admire some impressive sharks, but also watch some 10,000 animals – from rays to crocodiles and even little monkeys – up-close on 11 levels. The new 360-degree shark tank combines the beauty of the Maldives with the skyline of Vienna’s city centre and is a true highlight for anyone in the city.

The Haus des Meeres takes you into a completely different world full of wonder. For example, there is the dreamy coral reef made from 14 connected aquariums, or the new 360-degree shark tank measuring almost 120 square metres. Here, the stars are the Whitetip and Blacktip reef sharks, which share their habitat with related ray species.

Echte Haie im Herzen Wiens

Das 11-stöckige Haus des Meeres macht es tatsächlich möglich: Direkt in Wien kann man nicht nur imposante Haie bestaunen, sondern von Rochen bis hin zu Krokodilen und Äffchen über 10.000 Tiere aus nächster Nähe beobachten. Das neue 360 Grad Haifischbecken, welches die Schönheit der Malediven mit der Skyline der Wiener Innenstadt vereint, ist ein absolutes Highlight.

Bei einem Besuch im Haus des Meeres kommt man aus dem Staunen fast gar nicht mehr heraus: Da ist zum Beispiel das traumhafte Korallenriff, welches aus 14 miteinander verbundenen Aquarien besteht, oder das neue 360 Grad Haifischbecken auf knapp 120 Quadratmetern. Die Stars sind klar die zwei Haifischarten, Weissspitzen- und Schwarzspitzenriffhai, die sich das Habitat mit verwandten Rochenarten teilen.

Im Dezember können sich Besucher auf die Eröffnung einer neuen Mangrovenanlage im Haus des Meeres freuen – um so mehr Grund vorbeizuschauen. Ob Meeresschildkröte, Haifisch oder Lisztäffchen, ein Besuch lohnt sich immer.
