The university of business and industry, NORDAKADEMIE, offers a dual study model with over 400 participating partner companies. It keeps an eye on the occupational profiles currently in demand in the world of business and trains young, ambitious people in the qualifications they need – from the economy for the economy.

In 1993, NORDAKADEMIE officially opened its doors and has been growing in popularity and prestige ever since. Today, over 2,000 Bachelor students live and learn on the campus in Elmshorn, and around 1,000 young professionals are studying for their Master’s degree in Hamburg.

The particularly high career opportunities for NORDAKADEMIE students are based on the special business model: the dual study programme in the Bachelor’s degree and the part-time study programme in the Master’s degree. The students are thus connected to the companies from the very beginning. In addition, it’s a hiring requirement for every professor at NORDAKADEMIE that they come from the industry and are well-experienced.

Aside from the fantastic career opportunities thanks to the solid connection to the industry and the real-life experience in the workplace, students also benefit from being financially independent, as companies usually pay the student fees.

Prospective students can choose from five Bachelor of Science degree programmes including Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Business Information Systems, Applied Computer Science / Software Development and Computer Engineering. The six Master of Science degree programmes are General Management, Financial Management & Accounting, HR Management & Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Business Information Systems and Applied Data Science.

“From my point of view, the dual study programme at NORDAKADEMIE is the ideal way for committed students in the field of economics,” Nils, who studies Business Administration, says. “The theoretical knowledge learned in blocks can be excellently combined with practical experience. This concept ensures a demanding but high-quality education and prepares students for professional life in a goal-orientated manner.”

Business Administration graduate Laura adds: “During my dual studies, I particularly enjoyed the insights into different departments of my employer and the associated freedom to develop and to keep different paths open for myself.”

Die Hochschule der Wirtschaft NORDAKADEMIE bietet ein duales Studium mit über 400 teilnehmenden Partnerunternehmen. Die NORDAKADEMIE wurde offiziell 1993 eröffnet und ist seitdem auf dem Erfolgskurs. Heute leben und lernen über 2.000 Bachelor-Studierende auf dem Campus in Elmshorn und circa 1.000 junge Berufseinsteiger studieren auf dem Hamburger Campus für ihren Master.

Die überdurchschnittlichen Berufschancen für Absolvent:innen der NORDAKADEMIE sind auf das spezielle Business Model zurückzuführen: das duale Bachelor-Studium und das berufsbegleitende Master-Studium. Studienanwärter:innen können aus fünf Bachelor of Science Studiengängen wählen: Betriebswirtschaftslehre, Wirtschaftsinformatik, Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen, Technische Informatik/IT-Engineering und Angewandte Informatik. Die sechs Master of Science Studiengänge sind Wirtschaftsinformatik/ IT-Management, Applied Data Science, Financial Management & Accounting, General Management, HR-Management & Wirtschaftspsychologie und Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen.

„Meiner Meinung nach ist das duale Studium an der NORDAKADEMIE der ideale Weg für engagierte Studierende im Wirtschaftsbereich“, sagt BWL-Student Nils. „Die Theorie, die in Blöcken gelehrt wird, kann man perfekt mit der Praxiserfahrung kombinieren. Dieses Konzept sorgt für eine anspruchsvolle, hoch-qualifizierte Ausbildung und bereitet Studierende zielorientiert auf das Berufsleben vor.“

BWL-Absolventin Laura fügt hinzu: „Während meines dualen Studiums hat es mir besonders gefallen Einblicke in die verschiedenen Abteilungen meines Arbeitgebers zu bekommen. Auch die entsprechende Freiheit, sich verschiedene Laufbahnen offen zu halten und auszuprobieren, hat mir gefallen.“
