For over 20 years, leather studio dos santos has been based in one of Berlin’s trademark old apartments, where it combines a showroom and production site under one roof.

“Each time I’m delighted when my customers realise they are in a ‘real studio’, with sewing machines, materials and everything,” designer Petra dos Santos says.

She follows a traditional workflow including pattern making, material selection and fitting. “In recent years, I specialised in stretch leather, because it allows for tight-fitting designs that were previously very difficult or impossible to achieve with leather,” she explains.

Each piece is ‘Made in Berlin’, designed and produced by Petra dos Santos and her team. The leather is exclusively from Germany and Europe, certified by German regulators and of top quality. Dos Santos adds: “It’s important that it doesn’t just look beautiful, but that it’s also toxin-free and ethically sourced.”

Her customers are fashion-conscious people of all genders sharing a passion for leather – with individual style, taste and preferences, who value quality and craftsmanship.
