Christian Umscheid founded Montre Exacte in 2011 to manufacture precise watches for the Haute Horlogerie, mechanic timepieces combining elegant glamour with a classic and contemporary style. The complexity of the construction is not to be underestimated; tiny gear wheels which fit into one another with minute precision are the motor of these watches – quartz or electronic components are nowhere in sight. Umscheid’s atelier is run with similar precision as one of a crime lab: the well-lit room completely free from any dust and unwanted particles during construction. Montre Exacte, situated in Austria, manufactures classic high-quality clockwork for watches with a modern style.
