As spring is just around the corner, March comes alive with a dazzling lineup of events. Savour exquisite wines, lose yourself in the rhythm of jazz or dive into a science-filled museum night.
ZüriCarneval, Zurich (7 – 9 March)
For those wishing to immerse themselves in carnival festivities in Switzerland, Zurich emerges as an ideal choice. This three-day event is a vibrant celebration featuring elaborate costumes and the lively sounds of brass band music, creating an atmosphere brimming with positivity.

Bärner Fasnacht, Bern (6 – 8 March)
The ‘Bärner Fasnacht’ is the third-biggest carnival-related event in Switzerland. During the three days, masked ‘Fastnächtler’, wearing fancy dress, walk through Bern’s old town and bring music, theatre and food stalls to the city. A very traditional event that promises to be great fun for the entire family.

Snow Jazz Gastein, Salzburgerland (12 – 16 March)
Since 2002, Gastein has been a prime destination for jazz fans. The festival offers a remarkable fusion of world-class jazz, picturesque mountain landscapes, and the chance to go skiing, creating an unparalleled experience in the heart of Austria’s Gastein valley.

Wiener Restaurantwoche, Vienna (17 – 23 March)
